A public inventory of automated surveillance.

There is no single public register that shows where they are.

OzWatch is an open, community project — inspired by deflock.me — that maps every camera the community has documented in OpenStreetMap, plus records available in state open-data portals.

Scope

• ANPR / ALPR cameras (mobile & fixed)
• Speed and red-light cameras where publicly documented
• Public-space CCTV where tagged in OpenStreetMap

What this is not

OzWatch is not affiliated with any government body. It does not collect location data about users. It does not host imagery from any camera. It is a viewer over open datasets.

Contributing

The best way to improve the map is to contribute directly to OpenStreetMap — add a man_made=surveillance node with surveillance:type=ALPR. Changes appear here on the next Overpass query.
