Mapping automated surveillance across Australia.

OzWatch is an open, crowdsourced map of Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR/ALPR), public surveillance cameras, mobile cell towers, and WiFi people-density sensing — sourced from OpenStreetMap, Australian government open data, and community research.

Live OpenStreetMap data

Every camera and tower on the map is queried live from the OSM Overpass API — tagged man_made=surveillance with ANPR/ALPR sub-types and mobile communication towers.

Australia-first

Bounded to the AU territory. Filter by state, camera type, operator, and whether it records plates or faces.

WiFi people-density sensing

Learn how WiFi Channel State Information (CSI) can be used to estimate crowd density and movement. This is an educational overview, not live tracking data.
